I have bought a 5kg grey grout to grout my bathroom walls. I have a soil pipe what is boxed in with ply. Originally I was just going to paint it but decided to tile it in the end.

Will the grout be ok to grout the boxing in as its not flexible or will I definetely run into problems ?

what thickness ply,18mm or 22mm or 25mm? is the ply well screwed down, no movement.
some cover boxing with plaster board but using what they call flexi grout and adhesive stright onto the ply will usly wotk.

Not sure what thickness ply it was well secured and I have tiled over it with flex adhesive .

But I have bought a 5kg grout and openrd it and then realised its not flexi grout.

dont worry about it. just slap it on. but dont make it too soupy.practice with a little area before goin at it
