I tried to re grout some tiles so I scraped of some of the old grout using a screw driver. Unknown to me the new grout I used was past it's shelf life so its ended up drying like chalk. I've tried to remove this grout but it's a real pain. I can't seem to get rid of the residue from this application of bad grout. Is there a way to remove this grout so that I can apply some new grout? No matter how much I scrape and wipe off with a damp cloth it just doesn't seem to end. Will the new grout stick if there still remants of this chalky stuff or I'm I gonna end up a second with a bad application?

what the most appropriate type of grout for a bathroom where the shower is.

I know I need a water resistant type but I'm looking for some reputable brand. I have an area about 2sq mteres to do. Which would be the most suitable from the following three or recommend any others for use around a bath with shower?

Any tips appreciated.

What was the date on the bag? Most manufacturers use the date made as opposed to a use by date and it's caught out a few people before.

No personal experience with Tilemaster as I've only used BAL Micromax2 and the occasional Mapei stuff.
