I have a Y plan heating system running off a Baxi Bermuda, working fine, apart from one minor niggle.
The 3 way valve is noisy. It ranges from "ticking", to "SCREECHwhirrwhirrwhirrwhirr" depending on what it's doing. Works fine, it's just extremely vocal. Which then reverberates down the pipes.
To be fair, it has a certain comedy element..but I really should sort it I suppose.
What are the chances that the Syncron motor is a bit worn, as opposed to the valve itself making the noise? If I use the manual lever, you can feel the vibrations as the motor spins.
The valve may be quite old, I have no idea when it was fitted..any advice?
