Hi. Grundfos stn shower pump will only make a loud single tick/knocking noise interspersed with a second of chattering(like a contractor not sealing in). Any ideas? Trying to save my mum £400 if it’s the capacitor. I thought it was either pressure switch or pub? I cannot purchase replacement pressure switches only a kit which is £150.

Is it a universal motor? The clicking could be one of the brushes worn/stuck and not making good contact with the commutator.
