Hi (my first listing!)

I have been getting a loud noise around the house, sounding like it is coming from the boiler only once everything is up to temperature. It is not permanent but does happen every single time the boiler is firing and obviously the pump is running.

The pump is a Mid 2004 constructed Grundfos 15-50

If in the middle of the noise the pump is changed from speed 2 to speed 1 then the tone of noise changes with it, but sounds most noisy at the boiler and other pipework downstairs.

Is the noise still the pump??

Halstead Hero 60 boiler in a traditional heating system. New at start of 2005 and just serviced all ok.

Any thoughts or advice very gladly welcomed.

Thank you.

Not really sorting your problem but it is bad practice to change pump speed settings while the pump is running, it can cause internal sparking and burning of the switch contacts always turn off before adjusting the speed.

As to the noise what kind of noise is it?

Rumbling, banging, a noise like a kettle boiling or a rushing water sound.

Put a screwdriver on the pump body and put your ear to the handle to see if the noise is the one you are hearing.
