Hi,
Ive bought a new fire place with down lights in (GU10 type), these get very hot and my girlfriend is worried the baby will burn herself if she touches them. I was thinking about replacing them with LED bulbs, how much heat does a GU10 LED bulb give off compared to a normal GU10 bulb?

Thanks
Dan

Work cooler, prob last longer, use less power, 3 Duracell bulbs for £10 in asda is a no brainer then. Thanks

The ones your looking at aren't led from what I can see.

The led ones are £7 each in asda.

The Eco ones aren't worth it.

Or 3 for £15 for asda own brand

And is your point being a FIRE hazard ?
Danger to safety ?
energy saving ? ;- could be 90+% less with LED
Should all Tungsten Lamps be banned ? ( for so many reasons )
Or what ?

Daniel, Could we have a Pic. of the offending Fire place fitting ?

I swapped my quartz GU10's for 2W LED from B&M Bargains at £10 for three and I can re-direct light after being on for an hour getting hold of the bulb without burning my hand.
