Guess the UK headline.

I'll hazard a complete guess. The motorcyclist would be charged with reckless endangerment of life (in his pursuit of the drunk driver) He'd also be charged with, having no insurance, (not covered whilst chasing criminals). ABH, unlawful arrest, holding someone against their will, and leaving the scene of an accident (the one he witnessed).
He'd probably end up with about 5 yrs inside (if the judge were particularly lenient) When he came out, he'd no doubt be sued for everything he's worth , by the scroat he managed to stop.
Meanwhile, the drunk driver would get an 18 month ban (reduced to 12 months after doing an alcohol awareness course) and a slap on the wrists from the magistrates (after his solicitor pointed out the hardship, he'd have if banned for any longer than that) His solicitor would also express his client's regret for the incident, but he was under pressure at the time, his maternal grandmother had only passed away 5yrs previously and his pet Staffie, was suffering from worms.

Man chases drunk driver on motorcycle hogtying him with woman's belt after he strikes four pedestrians

So the motorcyclist chased a drunk and tied someone up, then hit pedestrians ?

Typical press.

All depends which paper it was in.

Daily Mail would probably go with "Motorcyclist gets better of drunk driver."

Sun would go with " Drunk as a Skunk justice."

Guardian would go with, "Shock , Horror as concerned citizen takes law into own hands."
Then continue with, " A motorcyclist who took the law into his own hands is today facing life behind bars, following a petition by Guardian readers."
