Gurgling noises from new combi boiler

We have recently had a Grant Vortex Pro 26E combo boiler installed, but are having a problem with it. When the boiler heats the hot water, there are lots of bubbling and gurgling noises coming from it. When the boiler stops heating, presumably when the water is up to heat, the noises actually carry on for some time, up to a minute or so, even though the boiler has stopped heating. The hot water is also coming out of the taps white and cloudy, as though it's full of air. It feels like the water is boiling up, but there is no obvious way of turning the temperature down, and also the overheat light has never come on. It's so loud that's it's waking my family up when the boiler operates at night to bring the water in the internal tank up to temperature, and we're losing sleep because of it. We need to get this issue solved as soon as we can.

Incidentally, we don't have this problem when the boiler is providing water for the central heating, only when it's heating up the hot water.

Anyone have any thoughts or advice on what this might be?

Thanks

It could be time to call the installers back. If it was only recently installed then they should be providing you with after sales service for at least 12 months and if registered correctly I believe you have 3 years warranty on this boiler provided it is serviced routinely.

Sounds to be a likely circulation issue or it may not be commissioned correctly. Its hard to say without carrying out certain tests so would be easier for you to call out your installers and get them to sort it for you.

Please post back with your results though as it may help others.

Thanks for your earlier reply, Jon.

Quick update: We've had the installers back, and they've had Grant change the PCB. They thought there was a problem with the thermostat, which is on the PCB itself, and the water was boiling. It hasn't solved the problem, though. Neither the installers or Grant seem to be able to fix it.

One interesting point - our kitchen tap often splutters when it's turned on (cold), suggesting air in the cold water pipes. The boiler is pretty close to this. I wonder if the two things are linked?

Also, often when the cold tap is turned on in the kitchen, the boiler immediately fires up. And, our digital shower upstairs keeps drying up due to trapped air in the system. Not sure if all of these things are related, but it just feels like there might be a wider issue with air trapped somewhere, rather than a specific issue with the boiler. FYI, we had the boiler fitted and new kitchen installed at around the same time, so there have been some plumbing changes as well as just a new boiler.

Lots of clues (which may, or may not be related), but no answer yet. Any ideas, anyone?
