I live in a terraced Victorian house which has, as far as I can tell, original guttering.

Last night we had a torrential downpour and the gutters were spewing water where the roof gulleys met the gutters.

The roof is at quite a steep angle and the widths of gutter are quite narrow between dormer windows, so the flow of water seems to simply be too great/too fast and it just jumps over the edge of the gutter where it hits it.

Is there anything that can be done to help this? we don't get that kind of rain too often, but the walls really did get a soaking, which I know isn't the best thing in the world.

What was "positive" was that all the gutters in the terrace were doing it at the same point, so I don't think it's a blockage.

Thanks
