Gutters: silted up on one side

Clearing out my gutters yesterday. One side of the house had a lot of silt, the other virtually none.

The roof doesn't seem to be assymetric. Gable end faces West. South side gutter has most silt. Detached bungalow.

Or maybe the previous owner only cleared out one side and gave up?

Check which side has most moss and also which side the birds prefer to poo on, that may answer your question.
