Bit of a niche question.

I'm getting some Gyproc duplex vapour control board, with the foil backing.

Does anyone know if the foil can be peeled off, leaving regular board.

I'll have some left over, and need normal board around a window, would save some £ if I can peel and use it.

Thanks

No point, use it as it is!
Around a window you are more likely to need foil board anyway.

But I don't think the board adhesive will work on the shiny surface and it's over the old plaster, so not screwing it into stud.

Plasterboard foam adhesive should stick to the foil enough for the given location but peeling the foil or using something abrasive to go through it would likely give a better result
Gypsum based adhesive won't stick to the foil
