my girlfriends hair dryer keeps tripping out the RCD inmy flat, any ideas what I should test it for. - its a professional's model, so not a cheapy

Does it trip the RCD as soon as you plug in the hairdryer, or only when you switch it on? Is it double insulated or does it have an earth connected tothe body / internal part(s)?
