Had the house rewired the other month and the RCD switch on the consumer unit is tripping every time i switch the tumble dryer on. Im guessing this is a fault with the dryer.

We had a fault last year and found the heating element was broke and got a new one. Dryer worked fine until the other week when it was not heating up again. So i assume same problem, tho since this one time the dryer has worked fine again until tonight when the RCD switch keeps tripping when dryer turned on.

Can i assume that the heating element is again broker and thats why the switch keeps tripping?

Thanks in advance
