Hi all. I have a one and a half bowl sink in my kitchen. When I empty the water in one, some water comes up in the other one.
Is there anything I can do to stop this, please?

As always, I thank you in advance for any help.

Many thanks

That suggests you may have a bit of a restriction, in the pipe leading away to the drain, or the trap under the sink. Post a photo of the pipework under the sink, and where it exits out through the wall, outside.

If you haven't had the waste/trap below the sink cleaned out at any point then chances are that's all it needs.

Disconnect the whole setup from the outflow below the sink, strip it down and into the bath and clean out all the pipework/seals/trap etc. A little silicone grease on the seals when refitting. Your local experienced friendly plumber should be able to sort it all out in about 20 mins.

Will do when I can get around to it. Thanks

Does it get any better if you dump a full kettle of boiling water down it?
