Halogen bulbs

Am completely and utterly unable to remove said bulb from light fitting to replace. Only have black rubber suction tool that came with light but no joy with this. Have used this before to remove bulbs and eventually they twist out but not this mother.

Suction thing sticks well enough to bulb but bulb doesn't twist with it.

Is there a more effective tool or mechanism I can use short of breaking old bulb?

I have done.

Stick it to the glass in a way that leaves you some to get hold of and twist.
Like making the shape of the sucker you have, but actually stuck to the glass.

Many thanks. Eventually did it with the black suction thing. My "recess" is slightly different so not conventional down light. (See attached) If anything it's worse as recess deeper than down lights What a completely daft design flaw with these bulbs.
