Hi and Hello to all.

Got a problem with my Halstead Ace Boiler. Uptill now had no real problems but now I have to turn the tap up really high to get the boiler to fire up and give me hot water. Tried to take off the pressure switch but can't get the two flow sensor pipes out!!! As for the pressure regulator cant slackent the dam nut!!! To let me concentrate on the one problem does anybody have any ideas what the issue may be. I thought maybe the diaphram in the flow swith maybe nuked is it replaceable?

Thanks for that Kevplumb
- was frightened to be too hard on the pipes in case I made things worse!! I notice that the DHW actuator pin which locates on the microswitch moves very slowly and not very far barely touching the microswitch unless the tap is fully opened. Would this confirm that the diaphragm is damaged. Can I take the pipes out of the other end instead of the pressure switch? - thanks in advance.

deffo sounds like diaphram

get some silicone grease and clean/grease the pin etc before you reassemble it

yeah you can take the pipes off at the other end just be carefull they bend easily ;)

Thanks Kevplumb. I'll find a local stockist and see if I can get hold of a kit or replacement switch. Those pipes really are tough - they just wiggled but would not come out - will give it another go when I get the replacement parts - thanks again for all your help.
