Hi all
It's that time of year again.
Halstead Ace high works fine all year no problems, when it gets to winter or basically when the temp gets to near freezing or frosty the boiler wont fire up until its reset a dozen times.
Having changed the spark electrodes, cleaned the venturi and flue (weren't clogged anyway) problem still persists.
After removing the front I can now see that the problem is that only the left hand side of the burner is igniting. A quick blow on it it and it fires up no problem. Once the boiler has fired up initially then it will work for many hours, yet after it has cooled down again, ie: that evening or the next morning we are back to having to remove the front to get the whole burner ignited.
Can't figure out why it is only doing this when the weather is below a certain temperature.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated as had a couple of plumbers round who also can't figure out the problem.
