Hi All,

I have a 3 year old Ace high which is serviced regularly but just recently it has started to vent large amounts of water from the external pipework.
the pressure has never gone above 2.5 but now it will start to drop as soon has the central heating is switched off. I have checked the expansion vessel and this is holding air and no water. It is also sitting around 1.5bar when i use a tyre gauge.
Can anyone advise me if this sounds like the PRV ? or any other suggestions.

Thanks in advance
H

You have to see if water is being discharged by the PRV.

If the pressure is 1.5 Bar cold then it should only increase to about 1.8 Bar hot. If yours is going higher then the EXV needs to be recharged properly.
