This past week my Halstead Finest gold gas boiler has decided to switch itself on and off when it feels like it. I've been unable to get hot water or the central heating on when i want them on. The boiler will suddenly fire up and work again, without me switching it on or off. I got a plumber to come and have a look, when the plumber arrived the boiler had fired itself back up and was working so he said he couldn't find a problem. The boiler then went off again that evening, and continued to stay off until the following afternoon when it turned itself on for 1 hour and then went off again. Does anyone have a idea what the problem could be?
