I have had an ongoing problem with getting hot water on demand. This thankfully has now been sorted by replacing the fan assembly which seemed to be the problem.

I have now tried to have a bath twice and the water is coming through hot with the burning going then the burner turns off for a short while and then restarts again, this meaning that the bath is actually cool, not quite what I had in mind for a nice relaxing hot bath. I even turned he temp way up to counteract the cold bit, but the water upstairs is not getting to temp.

I have tried this downstairs and the sink tap does the same thing but the temp is more like it should be.

Does anyone have an suggestions as to what may be the problem. I hope that it is a simple one as I have spent near on £500 on the boiler in the last month already. and not getting really p***d off with it now. :(

I did but that is all that has cost me over the last 8 years, so not too bad. It was not just for this problem, the PCB blew up from some rain being blown into the flume.

I have read elsewhere about the heat exchanger so when my plumber comes back from his holiday I will be in touch again.

Thanks for the heads up on the possible problem.
