The interesting point for me, though, is if an immigrant commits one of these terrible crimes, there are many people who claim that it can't be because of mental health. And that, instead, it is because the perpetrator comes from a backward and savage culture. But when it involves a white indigenous person, it seems the same people will readily accept that it is due to mental health.

I think those that scream "Allahu Akbar" before slitting the throats of innocent indigenous people going about their daily business and then later claim mental health problems are the ones people have no sympathy for.

One of those is still in prison for a crime, not for mental illness.
