hammer drill won't hammer

I have a cheap SDS hammer drill - Lidl, I think - and it no longer has hammer action. Is it repairable or is that just what happens with cheap kit?

how long have you had it?
iirc these things normally have something like a 3 year warrenty?

havent got a clue
but give it a good service clean grease and oil
if its like a "normal "hammer drill the chuck needs to move forward around 5mm to allow the hammer to engage

Didn't even know you had to grease them.

every now and then add a bit of grease to the end of the drill bit then insert it into the chuck.
