Hi there,i have a handle that has collapsed on me on my kitchen window.I went to Wickes and bought a replacement double glazing white handle but when i screwed the new one on,the cordless has pulled the handle downwards .I took the handle off and the metal unit behind the plastic frame has been forced down ,therefore making the handle face downwards so it bangs on the opening now and i have trouble opening and shutting the window .

Has anyone a clue how to resolve this? Many thanks Lloyd

if it's an espag lock, you could try removing the handle and tightening the screws under the lock mechanism. this might lift the espag mechanism up into the window again if the screws will bite. if not you could try a marginally wider screw to get a bite.
do it by hand, put the cordless away!
