Hanging Christmas Lights on Apex Roof?

Hi,

Planning on putting some xmas string lights across the top of the roof this year but our apex is on the front so have no guttering to clip onto, so was just looking for ideas on the quickest and easiest way of keeping them up there as I need to prepare soon whilst the weather is still ok.

Only way I've seen so far is screwing cup hooks into the plastics but was wondering if there was any alternatives?

Hi, i dont have one of the actual house no but similar is below in terms of roof.

So the apex here is at the front,guttering is down the 'flat' side of the house.

I want to attach light onto the white plastiv v shape

I would be more concerned about the safety aspect of reaching the Fascia Boarding just to attach a few Christmas Tree Lights !
