Hi all, Is it feasible to hang Christmas lights up high on my pitched roof of my dormer bungalow and what would be the best way to put them up. If you see my photo, I have another room in the way.

The red line is where I want to run the lights, the green circle is where I want to get access to with a ladder but can't due to the roof of the room in front. If I stood on the smaller roof directly under the green circle, i would barley reach the top of the window.

Regards: Elliott.

You will damage the planet with the emissions produced by all those lights.

Cherry picker (boom lift) seems like over the top to hang a single set of Christmas lights up for a month on a domestic property.

Cat ladder, how would that work/attach?

Was hopping I would be able to do it with a normal ladder.

Also is it safe to walk directly on roofs, see a lot of Americans doing it.

Paying somebody may work out the best option.

I believe liquidised Turkey dinner through a straw isn't nice.

Not going to put them there now, to much work for what it is worth.

I will just put them round the lower gutter and lower eve above the front room.

And if anyone wants to know, I have got 200 LED multi coloured multi function lights.
