I've got another thread on Ivy along side.
I'm thinking of an alternative for the side of my house.
I like these live gardens you see on sides of houses. If I'm advised to strip my Ivy what advise can you give for the side of my house.
I could set up plants pots that are along the gable that will hang and drop as a curtain would.
This would not damage the brick work but would offer insulation from the cold weather and give nesting birds a home. And of course the plan would be that it looks good.
Any ideas on what plants to use. Or if its a crap idea.
