Promised myself the patio area will be VERY flowery this summer & don't want to spend a small fortune on pots.

They'll do a good job and are especially useful in limited spaces.
Personally, i'm not in favour of them as they look like a cheap magazine rack.
I used wire and hemp hanging baskets for years but switched to a plastic hanging basket because they hold water better, are easily cleaned and stored.
You can also get pot holders that hang on a wall but it all depends on how many plants and the type you want to use.
