Di i think my point needs clarifying...
What i meant was that in normal life we rarely experience anything like forum life. Most of us wouldn't act in public as we do on here...
I certainly wouldn't stand up at work and ask my colleagues why if atoms are full of space, i don't fall through the floor !! And i certainly wouldn't spend my (every) evening arguing with a bloke called Joe who has a placard saying "all NigPikYings go home" !!
The closest you get is the pub or the building site... but everyone knows on here they're anonymous, and physically safe.
A lot of people on here say they hate IMAMARTIAN... and that's fine, but i know they don't hate me... in fact none of them even know me.
DIYnot is a great place for get help on DIY things and other things too. I'm grateful to many people on here for the time they've taken to share what they know.
And in contrast, GD is a pantomime.. a great place to let off steam... a bit of fun at the end of the day.
