Hi folks,

Quick (possibly dumb) question. Can I use tile adhesive to stick the hardiebacker board to the wall?

cheers,

JHFC

In short... no. The weight of the tiles will tear it clean off the wall.

It has to be mechanically fixed to a wall at something like 400mm centres vertically and horizontally (check website first).

You'll have fun cutting that stuff to as it blunts every tool known to man kind. If you have the space and the neighbours don't mind I would suggest cutting it with an electric grinder (with cutting blade attached). It's very dusty and therefore messy but you won't go through 20 hand saws in the process

Hope this helps... My first post :?

Cheers James,

Thought as much really....but if you don't ask, you don't know!

All drilled, plugged & firmly fixed to the wall now as spec'd by the hardiebacker website.

Ta.
