Hi, Can some one tell me if i can tile onto hardwall thistle or does it need a skim of multi finish first?
 
By hardwall I assume you mean plaster sand and Thistle plaster?. That is our local terminology.

If so provided it is straight and stable there should be no problem. Test a small area for suction. If it is high then PVA the wall to kill it a bit.

I may have misunderstood........you mean the Hardwall undercoat out of the bag? Same advice applies. The original term for Hardwall was washed plaster sand mixed with Thistle plaster. It was hard work to mix AND spread :lol: .
