Help!

Has anyone seen a fire like this before? Any idea on make or model would be fantastic.

I have no manual, don't know it's power output, and don't even know who made it!

Beneath the gas power dial, on a yellowed old aluminium plate, is "STREAMLINE" in red type.

I've posted a few pictures at:

Any help much appreciated

Seen fires very similar to that one but without further info almost impossible to ID.Why do you ask?

I'm insulating walls (in a totally different part of the house) and so building regs mean I need to know the fire's power output in case there is a ventilation requirement. The fire is not actually used, but I want to be fully compliant.

Unfortunately I don't know where to start looking, and there is no identification on the visible parts of the fire. I hoped someone might be able to give me a pointer what it could be, so I could search a bit more and try and get a positive ID.

Apart from that I'm a bit stuck for ideas short of getting a gas fitter out to dismantle the mantlepiece, take the fire out and read off its model number (presumably on the back or underneath). Which seems a lot of effort just to find out whether I need to put some new vents in!

Any help much appreciated.

Hi Richard,

Just came accross your query regarding the Streamline fire and i have one very like it.I want to replace the fire but fire company was asking about current fire it has streamline on the plate like yours, but can not find any other details regarding model number, or heat details and wondering if you managed to get the details?

Grateful for any help.

Regards

Ralph

I looked at the photos you posted and I have exactly the same fire, complete with same grate, tile surround etc and Streamline plate at the ignition.
I too want to find out the manufacturer and model. I checked Sirocco Fires website and their Streamline range but our fires are either many years senior to the models on show today (!) or this is a red herring.

I plan to check with a local retailer who has been in the business for over 60 years.
Good luck meantime
Roger
