Hay-fever anyone?

The tesco fexofenadine is the same ingredient I recommended, 180mg I believe us prescription strength, over the counter is 120mg. My doc had me on 180 x 2 daily. You can get used to Cetrezine hydrochloride and others and eventually they may not be effective. It’s worth mixing them up a bit if one stops working.

I already live by the coast so that wont work for me, however being at sea does work but its a pain when you get back alongside, especially in Singapore and other exotic places.

I have no intention of trying my or anyone else's wee.

There are so many factors to hay fever, different pollens will affect different people. One thing I learnt is to try and stay in the sun, the heat will keep the pollen up in the air, don't take shade under a tree. Evenings are worse, as the temperature drops, so does the pollen. You could try Vaseline up your hooter, the pollen is supposed to stick to it. Wrap around sunglasses should help with itchy eyes(this is my issue, not so much the sneezing). Certain years, some pollens will be stronger or weaker, hence sufferers feeling worse in some years. I had injections years ago. I had so many allergies that I was having about 9 shots a week, for several months. Half way through the course the doctor couldn't get the needle in my arm because the skin had toughened due to all the injections, he had to use the other arm. They did work though, I was free from symptoms for many years, but eventually the efficacy diminished. I put up with it now, too many side effects with the tablets.

I had it really bad as a child and into teenage years, but it got gradually less severe over the years, and I hardly get it nowadays. There is no cure. I had all the various antihistamines and none worked. They would make me feel tired and drugged, as well as causing an unnatural dry mouth, which I suppose is the effect deemed to be the cure.

Are there any hay fever sufferers on here who also suffer with asthma and skin problems? as the 3 are often linked. I had asthma has a child, and for some strange reason it seemed to go after I started smoking. I am not advocating it as a cure for asthma, smoking is a mugs game. I stopped years ago. I have also had occasional skin problems, one so severe it nearly killed me, and kept me off work for about 6 months. Thankfully I have been OK with all 3 for many years, the hay fever gets me some years, but there are far worse things to have.

Curse of the handsome Spline! I find fexofenadine pretty useful
