Didn't bring anything back...we scoffed the lot.....

That's the one. The all-you-can-scoff buffet seems to be a dying breed.
There used to be an Indian on the A6 - that's gone. There was a Chinese in the Sky building but now Sky and the Chinese have both gone.
There was a Hungry Buddha above the old Coop (now Asda) in Bull ock Smithy. It's still there but has had several changes of management after disastrous reviews in the press.
The other ones I know are the one in Grand Central occupying the old Pizza Hut building (not brilliant) and Go East on Didsbury Road, where I used to live. We last went there 13 years ago, so don't really know if that one is still good...
But they're all pretty much the same, really. If you want to stuff your face for around a tenner, then it's going to be cheap and cheerful.
