Can anyone clarify the rules on head height going up a stairs and into the attic conversion.
I understand the rules are minimum 2m height, but i thought there was some room for movement and BC would accept 1.9m.
I ask because on cowboy builders last night the new stairs installed were 20mm out and the actual height was 1.98m. I thought this would have been fine, i didnt see how it was resolved, but would be interested in hearing what the score is.
ALSO i noticed he measured this height from off the last step up into the attic area. I thought you had to measure from off the actual finished floor level.
Was he right or wrong ?
