Health & Safety gone MAD! A national disgrace.

how would it benefit anyone to be burying two bodies, and before anyone starts I was in DCRO in the eighties.

But they didn't bury anyone. The girls life was saved by this quick thinking person.

the adage fools blunder in where angels fear to tread.

We need more "fools" then and less angels. More lives would be saved IMO.

dont suggest I would have let the girl die, but i wont play the hero.

I think she would have died had you been there. You sound like someone who plays by the rules and would have ran back to the vehicle for a rope.

In any case you were not there, so are in no position to judge.

Paul Waugh stated .......

"I understand I broke a rule, but I felt it was a matter of having to because she only had minutes to live. She said that herself, she was planning her own funeral.

The guy looks reasonably fit and strong so I suspect he was confident in his physical ability to climb down to the girl. She was lucky this type of person arrived.
An older stiffer person would have thought twice and would have used the rule book as his excuse not to become involved.

but i wont play the hero.

Its not about playing the "hero". Its about saving someones life.
You cannot possibly judge the situation that Paul Waugh came upon and I couldn't give a hoot what life saving institutions you were involved in.

I gave up playing when I became an adult.
