So when you put the heating on, the pipe that's the return should Heat up slower than the flow pipe which should Heat up first.

Is that the case ? just double checking !

Haha, yes. I even bought a thermometer and saw that the pipe to which the magnetic filter is attached is around 15 to 20 degrees lower that the other pipe.
 
Does your pressure on the boiler drop quite often as well? I see quite a lot of blocked plates and the majority of the time the system pressure is quite low.

No it stays at around 1.5 - In fact I don't think I've had to top it up.
