Heat only or system boiler?

Just gonna go with a heat only boiler I think. It's cheaper, less to go wrong, system works fine as it is, not a big job to change the wiring to the existing pump if needs be. I've got the option of floor standing or wall mounted in heat only aswell

My next question is the gas supply. It's currently 15mm and comes off the meter in lead. Should I have this upgraded to 22mm copper or 28mm? It's about 20 metres from the meter to the boiler

Thanks, Chris

Yes you'll almost certainly need the Gas pipe size larger.

It will almost certainly need to be partly in 28 mm.

Its most cost effective to fit the part with the most bends in 28 mm.

The installer will do the calculations.

A heat only boiler, correctly sized with clean system is the way to go.

System boiler is not what you need in this case as you have everything in place already
