Hi folks looking for some advice please
I have a Lifestyle LP711 heating panel & tried to change it for a Centaurplus C17 (series 2) but it did not work. As soon as I put old one back heating came on again. Was it because C17 was only a single chanel. What is the difference & what should I look for?
Combi boiler by the way.

Single channel is correct for a combi providing there are no motorised valves.

Did you change the backplate? The wires do not go to the same numbered terminals, but need to be wired to equivalent positions.

You should have either three wires or four excluding earths. If 3 wire, live and com will need to be linked under normal circumstances, ie, not non-standard wiring.

1 and 3 on the Drayton go to 2 and 4 on the horstmann, respectively.

If I recall correctly, the backplates are incompatible.

Although I think Drayton is probably the better brand generally, opinions vary.

Edit, simultaneous posts.
