Heating Controller / Thermostat recommendation

K

kees2k

A while ago British Gas replaced my central heating system but the Heating Controller and hall thermostat are not very good.
The heating controller is a British Gas UP2 (Drayton LP722?) and the Thermostat is a Siemens RAA20.
I want something easy to program and more flexible, and a digital thermostat (no batteries). Could anybody recommend something better?
Thanks

Well, no replies for 14 months!.
The Thermostat died recently and the plumber replaced my old Siemens RAA20 unit with a Drayton RTS8 2 wire device. This seems to be compatible if anyone is interested.

It is difficult to give useful advice when we don't know what make and model of boiler you have.

And in 14 months you couldn't be arzed to look at the suggestion box below or try the search function to see if one of the top 5 most common questions on a plumbing and heating forum might, just MIGHT have been answered already?

Thought not.

Thank you so much for your constructive reply. I don't have the benefit of your wide expirience, I'm only a disabled retired engineer. Pray tell me where do I go for good advice?
