I have a drayton RF2 digistat. Which works well only its batteries run out every 2 days. Its sited only 12ft from the boiler with 1 partition wall in the way. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanx tony , Really wierd stuff happening.using duracells batteries are running down every 2-3 days taking them out new ones in lasting 2-3 days again put old ones back in working like new again for 2-3 days. Im a heating engineer and fit these almost every day and never seen problem before.Like you say could be problem with the transmitter. think i will call tech helpline Monday.Thanx
1) The low battery symbol is connected to the thermo bit and not the RF bit, which goes flat first. SO a lot get taken out needlessly.
2) The battery connections are often the trouble. Lower the drawers and take the batts out then if you wiggle the drawer it'll come right out.
Then you can see the contacts up inside. Clean with a rubber on a pencil or something. Usually sorts them out.
