Heating not heating!

I just had to drain a downstairs radiator, as it was filled with black iron oxide so I drained it and then re-filled it. I turned the heating on, but failed to heat up the radiators after an hour.

Do a search on "air lock". Thermostatic rad vale pin hasn't stuck in has it?
If you drained more than the one rad do a search on "sludge" !

I have to ask the obvious, did you bleed it and turn both valves back on?
