My central heating has been switched off over the summer months. When i tried to turn it on the other day nothing happened. I have hot water but no heating.

When i move the switch from Water only, to water and heat i usually hear the water begin to move around the system, but at the moment there is nothing. It seems that the pump is not even trying to work.

Does anyone have any ideas on this?

Thanks

you've not described your system, but sounds as though you have motorised valve or valves, which is where the problem will be most likely.
If you've no valves then pump may be stuck if it has not been used.

Yep sticky pump, take the screw out of the end and give it a spin with a screwdriver.
