Hi - I hope someone can help - we have just moved into a new house and found out that for some reason that if we try and turn on the heating via the control on its own it does not work - the bolier does not fire up. If you turn the hot water on its fine, and the heating is fine if the hot water is on as well. I thought it might have something to do with the programmer which was a British Gas UP1 - it was looking a bit old - so i have replaced it with a new Drayton LP241 - but again the heating does not work on its own either via the advance heating button or when you select the programe to on.
It only works with the hot water turned on. We have a fully pumped system witha megaflow tank in the loft. Any ideas? could it be the wiring ? obvioulsy with the winter drawing in we are keen to resolve this problem - any help gratefully received
