hi
I know it's probably ok but my heating pump pipework doesn't look right but it's been the same pipework since the 1970s connected to the same boiler which works perfectly

Thanks in advance

I just think it doesn't look right because the pump looks upside down so it's either pumping through the boiler or going down then up? Or will it be ok

But we also need to know what those pipes are. Flow? Return? What's on the other side of the wall?

I'm guessing that is the chimney breast, and the boiler is on the other side.

Yeah it's the chimney breast and there's another two pipes on the other side of it I will gets some more pictures

This is the season where people overthing their heating systems and for some unknown reason start to panic that it will break down on xmass day.

If its been working fine since the 70's then thats probably enough information to assume that the installation of the pump is at least, satisfactory.

What does an upside down pump look like?

Yeah it's never gone wrong before so it should be fine, the pump does look upside down but sadly it's very well boxed in so I can't get to it easily

It looks like it's correctly mounted with the shaft horizontal and it's working fine so don't worry about it. :)
