Hi

We seem to have a problem with our heatline C24 combi boiler. When the CH comes on there is a drip coming from the white plastic condensate trap overflow pipe, sometimes there is a lot, sometimes a little, and sometimes doesn't happen at all. Dripping is coming from the actual condensate trap overflow and not from any pipework that I can see.

The pressure at the moment is about 2.5bars (heating has been on for about 2 hours). I have lagged the pipes leading outside of the house as I thought they may be getting frozen stopping the condensate from draining correctly? This doesn't seem to be the case though. It seems to be that not enough water is drainage, and spilling out the top?

When the CH is off the pressure is normally around 1 bar. CH is set to e on the dial, about 70o? Is it something to do with the pressure or some kind of valve?

Any ideas much appreciated. Boiler is about 4-5 years old and serviced yearly.

I know it's a heatline and so apparently rubbish but this has been the only problem since we had it. (Touchwood).

Thanks

Not serviced very well as expansion vessel is failed/depleted.

You or anyone can check the condensate drain is emptying.

Thanks Tony

The boiler has been serviced every year but I guess these things can still happen.

Can you let me know how to check the condenser is emptying?

Thanks in advance.
