Hello
I am hoping that somebody here will be able to answer a question I have regarding a Heatline C28 boiler that is installed in a house that we have just moved in to.
The boiler has a remote thermostat fitted to it. What I am noticing is that the radiators will heat up to a good temperature after I had a go at balancing them. However, the room that has the thermostat fitted is very large with two big external walls so more often than not the thermostat is always requesting more heat!
When I observe the boiler whilst it is fired up there are several LED's on the control panel (see pic below) and as I am sure you guys are aware these light up as the temperature increases. What I am finding is that the highest the LED indicator will go is to the 80 mark before the gas is cut and all that is left working is what sounds like a fan whirring. The fan noise remains for around 5 minutes before the gas then kicks in again until the 80 mark is once again reached (maybe a minute or so later) and it cuts out again.
I have noticed that if you turn the CH/DHW selector to the off position and then back the boiler will kick in again straight away after having just cut out although it then reaches 80 and cuts out.
Is this simply the internal thermostat of the boiler or is this a problem with the boiler?
Any help much appreciated.
