Hi, I have above boiler and the pressure keeps dropping. I am filling it every day! No obvious signs of leaks but now, when i open fill loop, there is a loud banging noise coming from prv area and water coming out of top of the red cap. What could be causing this problem. I am picking a new prv up today.

what pressure are you filling it too?

pick up a pressure guage while your there

the banging is the prv opperating,if the pg is choked it could be giving you a false reading

you should only fill it to 1.5

make sure you get the right one 3.5 bar on those

Pressure loss = leak

Sounds more likely he is filling it to 3.5 Bar or the gauge is clogged up.

Hi, thanks for all advice. Noticed when draining system that gauge was still reading 1.0 bar! Fitted new prv and filled up till ch fired up, bled and left alone. Will get and fit new gauge monday,

You might just be able to unblock it by poking a thin needle up the capillary tube from the boiler end.
