No just spray with loads of release on a slightly warm block should just come undone

Just be careful and rock them back and forward as you loosen.
Sometimes they are difficult to loosen (as mentioned above) and can
break as you take them out. It can be hard to get the broken bit out, so be
gentle.
You could check them first to see if they are faulty?
