hi all
I've been asked to repair some step cracks using helibars. The crack is also apparent on the internal wall as the plasterwork is cracked. The customer doesnt want the internal wall touching(down to cost i think) so just the external brickwork repairing. Personally I'd repair both skins.
Would you recomend she has the internal brickwork done as well or point out that you cant be held responsible if she doesnt?
Thanks

Assuming its a long-standing crack and not moving any more, it should be ok repairing just the outer skin and pointing up the interior.
However, with both skins being cracked, it is likely to be settlement and she needs to make sure that this is not on-going, otherwise more cracks will eventually appear.
Personally, whether one or both skins are repaired, I wouldn't take responsibility for it.
