Well, I have now tried what seems like 2000 combinations of wires, and nothing seems to make sense. I found a couple of references on this site, and they both don't seem to add up or match my boiler / themostat.

I have a worcester 28i Bosh RSF combination boiler. It has terminals CN, CI and CL (these had the manual timer in) with RN, RI and RL (manual says for a thermostat)
http://books.google.co.uk (search for 28i rsf wiring)

Honeywell timer has N L L (link) and A B C.

Can anyone help me and give me some wiring advice - I a very fed up adn stuck![/url]

RF stat. Follow diagram B for combi.
You need L & N supply to receiver.
2 wires need to be connected to A & B and run to block X2 on boiler

Just remember boiler also needs L & N supply to block X1

Just compare the boiler installation manual with the indications of the thermostat manual.
If you can't work it out, you'd be better of farming the job out to someone; you are dealing with 230V, so not without risk.
